At today's Sony investor exhibition, Sony disclosed its future development plan. According to the PPT displayed by Sony, by fiscal year 2025, Sony expects that about half of all their new games will be PC games and mobile games. The former will account for 30% of the total, while the latter will account for 20%, and the rest will be ps5 games.
Sony will give up the interesting game platform by 2025.
Sony has intended to expand its presence in the PC field. At the exhibition, Sony estimated that the current fiscal year (by the end of March 2023) only PC games could generate $300 million in revenue for the company.
At present, Sony has launched several previous PS host exclusive games on PC, including ares 4, horizon: Dawn and no more. These Games brought Sony a total of $80 million in revenue in fiscal 2021, compared with $35 million in fiscal 2020.
Understandably, due to the small number of games on the PC, this number was not high at the beginning. Therefore, with the increase of the number of Sony games, it is only a matter of time. But considering Sony's huge leap in PC game revenue expectations, Sony must be considering launching a blockbuster work to land on PC.
The next game to land on PC is "mysterious sea: collection of thieves' Heritage", including "mysterious sea 4" and derivative work "mysterious sea: lost heritage".
