My world 1.19 was released today, adding new biota, biological and technological changes in the wilderness. This is the last update of all the new features initially presented to players during the live broadcast of minecraft live in 2020, and it is also the last of the three major updates.
Agnes Larsson, the game director of my world, and ulraf vaknin, the developer, promised that there were no secrets hidden on the day of release. Mojang is always committed to player feedback. The developers discussed some changes that players have experienced since 1.19.
Feedback also continues to have a huge impact on the ideas mojang gave up. Before "wilderness update", the firefly originally planned to be the main food for frogs has been a controversial issue, so that the title of the recent Q & a video about the new function of "wilderness update" is "what happened to the firefly in my world 1.19?"
In the video, producer Anna Lundgren explains that players have pointed out that fireflies are toxic to frogs. In our chat, Larsson and vaknin explained in detail that it was not just the players who sounded the alarm. Vaknin said, "the pet store owner contacted me, and they said it was a problem because people had not received this kind of education, and there was also a problem that frogs ate firefly stalks. So people had made this mistake. If my world magnified this mistake, it would be even worse."
"We have millions of players," Larsson said. "We should take a lot of responsibility. We realize that if we release a feature that is toxic to frogs like fireflies and we let frogs eat them, it may actually lead people to kill their real-life frog pets."
Without fireflies as frog food, Larsson says the range of new insects is much smaller. Mojang decided to cancel it completely for the time being and focus on the quality of other functions in development.
