The hydrogen cylinder was jointly developed by Toyota and its subsidiary woven planet holdings. It is approximately 16 inches long, 7 inches wide, and has a target weight of 11 pounds.

The automaker acknowledges that most hydrogen today is produced from fossil fuels, used to refine oil and make fertilizer. However, in the future, Toyota believes that hydrogen will be produced using very low carbon emission technologies and will be used in a wider range of applications.

Toyota did not cite any specific use cases of its hydrogen cylinders, but the attached picture describes the use in cars, drones, motorcycles and even charging mobile devices.

The automaker said that the Japanese government was actively carrying out research to promote the safe adoption of hydrogen, adding that they were pleased to support these efforts.

It is reported that Toyota's main goal is to achieve a carbon neutral society so that everyone can access clean energy. Their efforts will begin in Japan and then spread to the whole world. Toyota will demonstrate the prototype at the "2022 Japan super endurance series" held at Fuji circuit from June 3 to 5.
