HBO Max sci-fi American drama "alien cataclysm" was cut after two seasons of broadcasting. According to variety, HBO Max confirmed that they would not produce the third season, and thanked those who made the first two seasons possible. Alien cataclysm was originally developed for TNT, and later went to HBO max. Four months before the renewal of the second season, HBO said that "alien cataclysm" was "the best HBO Max original play since the launch of the platform."

An HBO Max spokesman said: "although we will not renew the third season of alien cataclysm, we sincerely thank the top cassettes and crew members, our main creators Aaron guzikowski, Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker and the entire team of Scott free productions, for their beautiful artistic performance and unique ability to immerse fans in the world of kepler-22b."
Although the story of "alien cataclysm" was cut off before it was finished, some people hope it can find a new home, including actor Abubakar Salim, who plays the father robot in the play.
Salim also launched a "call to action" at reddit, hoping that alien cataclysm would find a new home. He also pointed out that after "the news of these mergers and what is happening at Warner", the cancellation is not surprising. He thinks the alien cataclysm still has the possibility of survival.
