It is reported that Elon Musk recently praised Netflix's latest corporate culture code. The code says that if employees can't produce content they don't agree with or think harmful, Naifei may not be their ideal employer. Musk tweeted in response to the New Deal: "good job @ Netflix!"
Naifei recently updated the corporate culture code and added a section called "artistic expression".
The article reads: "not everyone likes or agrees with all the content provided by our service... We will let the audience decide what content is suitable for them, rather than let Naifei review specific artists or voices."
"As an employer, we support the principle that Netflix will provide a variety of stories, even if we believe that some content is contrary to our own personal values. Depending on your responsibilities, you may need to produce what you think is harmful. If you find it difficult to agree with the breadth of our content, Netflix may not be your ideal employer," the code said
Naifei's policy change comes at a time when the platform has experienced a record loss of subscribers. The company attributed this to increased competition, account sharing, inflation and other factors.
Since musk announced last month that he would buy twitter for $44 billion, hoping to make it a paradise for freedom of speech, his view on content censorship has attracted more and more attention.
