In the chrome platform update of Linux 5.19 kernel, a new Chrome OS ACPI device driver was introduced in addition to a large number of fixes, but most of them are basic at this stage* A notable addition is that framework laptop now has cros_ EC_ Support for LPCs *, the modular Linux laptop uses Google's chromeos embedded controller.
Access:
Framework laptop is one of the few chromeos EC devices, but it is not one of chromebook/chromeos devices. Due to the use of EC developed by Google, the embedded controller software of framework laptop is open source firmware. In Linux 5.19, in cros_ EC_ DMI matching has been added to the LPCs driver, so it can be properly bound to the frame laptop.
At the same time, the chrome platform update for Linux 5.19 also adds a new chromeos ACPI device driver. This driver exports the values reported by ACPI to the sysfs directory because there is no data in the traditional ACPI table when read through common ACPI tools. Chromeos user space directly uses the data exposed by the new driver through sysfs.
