BMW's new XM SUV is a riot, which is one of the biggest surprises that M brand has brought to car fans for many years. It is reported that the car will debut in September and go on sale in March next year. XM will be powered by a plug-in hybrid power system that combines BMW's S58 generation 4.4-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine with an unpublished lithium-ion battery pack, which will eventually produce 644 horsepower output and 590 LB ft peak torque.

I wonder if you remember when the XM concept car made its debut in November, BMW said it had a maximum output of 750 horsepower and a peak torque of 737 LB ft. Sven Ritter, XM's project manager, told the media that this higher output version will come soon after the standard model. In addition, it is also regarded as an XM competitive model, just as BMW provides standard and competitive models for other m cars. However, Ritter confirmed that it would not be called the XM competitive version. Unfortunately, he declined to elaborate further.

The key to note about XM is that it is the exclusive vehicle of M brand. Ritter pointed out that BMW hopes XM can cater to consumers who would have bought Mercedes Benz G-class cars or Lamborghini urus, who don't want to have a car shared with non-M models. Cars like X5 m are very similar to X5 xdrive40i and m50i models. But Ritter points out that XM customers "don't want to see a 40".

It is not known how much the new XM will cost, but it is clear that the starting price of more than $150000 is almost certain, and the more powerful variant will obviously increase the bottom line.
