Apple officially announced the first MAC equipped with M2 chip -- the new MacBook Air. The MacBook Air is completely redesigned around the M2. More square shape, away from the previous wedge. The new MacBook Air supports MagSafe magnetic charging ports and is equipped with two lightning connectors. And the headphone jack is reserved. It is 11 mm thick and weighs 2.7 pounds. It can be silver or dark gray, starlight and midnight black. The headphone interface supports high impedance headphones.
The MacBook Air 2022 features a silent design, no fan, and 20 hours of video playback battery life.
The new power adapter has two usb-c interfaces, supports fast charging, and can reach 80% power in 20 minutes. The gap between the new M2 MacBook Air and the 13 inch MacBook Pro is being sharply narrowed.
New microphones and speakers with beamforming microphone and Atmos support. 20% faster than M1 air, and 4 times faster than the previous Intel air in terms of Photoshop filter.

This technology has been used in macbook pro and ipad Pro, but the MacBook Air implementation lacks the promotion capabilities of these devices.
The absence of tapered edges does mean that the angle of typing is no longer better than the MacBook Pro. However, this should also mean that the new MacBook Air has sufficient ventilation to operate at its highest performance speed for longer periods of time.
