Microsoft hopes to make up the gap between Microsoft /office account and windows 11 by directly integrating Microsoft account into system settings. This change was made after the company forced individuals or families to use Microsoft accounts on Windows 11 pro Windows 1122h2 introduced the part of Managing Microsoft 365 subscriptions in the setting interface. Microsoft said that it plans to further improve the experience by using the updates delivered by the online service experience package in the future. As part of the update, Microsoft is introducing "payment details" into the subscription card experience.
As you can see in the screenshot below, the settings application now allows you to view and manage payment information and receive notifications when payment methods need to be updated. The purpose of integrating the payment function of Microsoft account into the setting application is to help users continue to subscribe without any interference.
Currently, Microsoft account integration is limited to payment details, but this will change in future updates.
Microsoft is now testing a series of changes to better reflect the functions related to Microsoft accounts in the setup application. This includes office 2021 or office 2019. For example, if you have an office 2021 or office 2019 subscription linked to a Microsoft account, you can set > View and manage supported office permanent products in your account.
Users can learn more about subscriptions and even install Office products directly here. Before that, you need to manually log in to your account in your browser to install Office products.
Microsoft account integration for windows 11 is still in the early stages of development and is being rolled out to testers of the development channel. Microsoft is planning to collect more feedback before releasing the online service experience package in the production channel. This change is likely to be promoted to consumers before the end of this year, because the integration can be easily completed without functional updates.
On the other hand, Microsoft has announced a series of improvements to the setup application in Windows 1122h2. For example, Microsoft is updating the default value of "sleep and screen off" to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, especially when the PC is idle. However, this change will only be available to those who clean and install the 22h2 or later operating system.
Microsoft is also improving the search bar experience in the application. The company hopes to further improve the settings through the Sun Valley 3 update.
