Recently, amd suddenly raised a challenge in the patent lawsuit. It sued a number of Companies in the ITC International Trade Commission of the United States, including "little crab" Ruiyu electronics, on the grounds that their chips contained unauthorized amd graphics patents. A few days ago, it was reported that AMD and ATI filed a complaint against TCL electronics, Ruiyu semiconductor and other defendants according to the "article 337" of the U.S. tariff law on May 5, accusing TCL, Ruiyu and other defendants of infringing five U.S. patents held by AMD on the graphic system and its components sold to the United States and the digital TV containing the system**

Amd appealed to the US International Trade Commission to issue a decree to prohibit the alleged infringing products from being imported into the United States and collect a deposit within the 60 day investigation period.

For the lawsuit, Ruiyu electronics responded that it had no impact on the company's operation.

It is reported that the lawsuit initiated by AMD is still in the unlicensed stage, and the TV SOC accounts for a small proportion of Ruiyu's overall revenue. It is estimated that the TV SOC will account for only 9% of Ruiyu's revenue this year, down from 13% the previous year. Ruiyu has a number of TV customers, TCL is not the largest one, and the estimated impact is limited.
