It has been reported that Microsoft is developing a new outlook application, which will replace the existing e-mail client in the windows system in the future. The latest exposed information shows that its launch time may not be far away.
An earlier version of the application was recently leaked, providing us with a way for the new outlook to work after approval. Some users also seem to have been able to activate the application and set up their accounts.
The new outlook app is essentially a web-based e-mail client version that will eventually replace the default windows Mail application. According to the verge report, Microsoft is expected to announce the new outlook application at the build Developer Conference and begin to promote it to windows devices later this year.
Scott stiles, vice president of outlook product management, said: "we thank you for your excitement about our next update and will share more in the coming weeks. The downloadable version is an early unsupported beta version of outlook for windows, which lacks some features and improvements that will be provided to our testers. We encourage our customers to wait for the release of the beta version.".
