Six 350 MW pumped storage units have been designed and installed in changlongshan power station, and five units have been put into operation since the end of June last year. Unit 6 of the power station was started for the first time, and the speed was successfully increased to the rated speed of 600 rpm.

It is planned to complete the load shedding and pumping power-off tests in early June and put into operation before the end of June.
Changlongshan hydropower station is a pumped storage power station with "high water head, large capacity and high speed", and the rated water head is up to 710m. The rated speed of unit 6 and unit 5 newly put into operation is 600 rpm, which is the highest speed among 350 MW pumped storage units in the world. At the same time, the power station is also the only power station in China to arrange two pumped storage units with different rated speeds in the same plant.
Changlongshan hydropower station is located in Anji, Zhejiang Province, with a total installed capacity of 2.1 million KW. After all units are put into operation, the annual average power generation capacity can reach 2.435 billion kwh. It mainly undertakes the tasks of peak shaving, valley filling, frequency modulation, phase modulation and emergency standby of East China power grid.
