A recent picture of a strange rock formation on a red planet taken by NASA's curiosity probe has triggered some interesting speculation, but this is not evidence of alien activity. It is reported that this scene was a series of original images taken by the camera on the mast of curiosity on May 7.
"If we look at it as part of the whole mosaic, we can see that the small groove on the rock is spread all over the rock surface together with other rock blocks, fractures, shapes and other erosive features," UFO of interest, a UFO insider, said on twitter on Wednesday local time
Mars images can be tricky. An eroded rock may look like a fish. A backlit cliff may look like the outline of a face. Cropped photos and enlarged views can make tiny features look big. If the shadow happens to fall at different angles, the "door opening" may be completely unobtrusive.
This is not to stop the joy of discovering strangely shaped rocks and landscape features on Mars. People should absolutely be intoxicated with these strange situations. But perhaps the most amazing thing is that humans have a wheeled robot shuttling through the gale crater and sending back photos from another world.
