Cyber security company McAfee announced on Tuesday that CEO Peter leav would leave and former intuit executive Greg Johnson would replace him, effective June 13. The company said in a statement that the move was made at a time when McAfee was transformed into a pure consumer protection company.
In November last year, McAfee agreed to accept a $14 billion takeover offer from an investment consortium led by adventure international and was privatized about a year after it went public in 2020.
"Greg has more than 25 years of consumer business experience in truly innovative leading brands. Greg has an impressive record in developing multi billion dollar growth strategies for consumer businesses while adding value to customers. Greg's proven expertise makes him the preferred leader to lead the company's future development," McAfee chairman Bruce chizen said in a statement
"The McAfee brand has an enviable reputation, quality and innovation, and I am pleased to lead the company into the next phase of growth," Greg Johnson said in a statement
