The parts manufacturers purchase in a centralized way, and the logistics gets through the transfer station. The whole vehicle of the main engine factory goes offline one by one... The machine turns and the production line runs. The head automobile enterprises such as SAIC and Tesla have started the mode of resumption of work and production. In the past month, tens of thousands of vehicles have been "walked" off the production line of Shanghai automobile factory and actively exported.
On the 15th, the car ro ro ship loaded with more than 4000 Tesla electric vehicles set out from Shanghai Nangang wharf to Belgium, which is the second batch of whole ship electric vehicles exported after the resumption of production of Tesla Shanghai Super factory.
As Tesla's "global export center", Tesla Shanghai Super factory began to resume production on April 19. On May 11, the RO ro ship loaded with 4767 Tesla electric vehicles set out for the European market.

Since the resumption of work and production on April 19, when the production capacity has not been fully restored, as of April 30, Tesla Shanghai Super factory has offline 10000 complete vehicles. From January to April 2022, Tesla Shanghai Super factory has delivered more than 180000 vehicles, more than 1.7 times that of the same period last year, surpassing the annual delivery of the factory in 2020.
Tao Lin, global vice president of Tesla, said: "we have seen the ability of all sectors to deal with challenges from the resumption of work. We believe that production can return to normal soon."
In the New Lingang area of Shanghai Free Trade Zone, not far from Nangang wharf, the whole vehicle is offline in the Lingang passenger car factory of SAIC Group.
Huang Jianying, Party Secretary of SAIC passenger car company, introduced that on April 19, the first complete vehicle of Lingang passenger car factory was offline under the pressure test of resumption of work and production. As of May 18, more than 6400 complete vehicles had been offline, including the newly listed Zhiji L7.

"We should pay attention to both epidemic prevention and production." According to Huang Jianying, at present, more than 4000 employees have arrived at the port factory.
SAIC Group said that since the pressure test was started in mid April, the enterprise has exported 15000 complete vehicles and sold 167000 complete vehicles in April. At present, the affiliated enterprises in Shanghai have more than 40000 employees stationed in the factory to carry out closed-loop operation and production.
According to SAIC, it is expected that from late May, the resumption rate of the first two batches of spare parts supporting enterprises on the "white list" in Shanghai will exceed 80%; The logistics pressure in the Yangtze River Delta will also be further alleviated. On the premise that the supply chain and logistics remain stable, the complete vehicle enterprises under SAIC Group are expected to gradually resume normal production in late May, and strive to achieve the same level of production and sales in the same period last year. In 2022, SAIC will strive to sell more than 6 million vehicles in the whole year, with a year-on-year increase of more than 10%.
The production line of the whole vehicle factory is "smooth" and Chinese cars are sailing to the sea, which is inseparable from the centralized group purchase mode adopted by the upstream auto parts manufacturers and the smooth logistics blood.
As one of the suppliers of SAIC passenger cars, Shanghai Sanli Huizhong Auto Parts Co., Ltd., located in Anting Town, Jiading District, has used the "group purchase" model for reference to unblock the "blood" of supply.
Laiyingbiao, head of sanlihuizhong purchasing department, said that the enterprise gathered the goods of several parts manufacturers located in Suzhou to one of the leading suppliers, and transported them to Shanghai after completing the disinfection and sterilization. In this way, the upstream enterprises can share the freight and reduce the possible logistics delay. "Now this model is also adopted by suppliers in Ningbo, Yuyao and other places in Zhejiang Province."
Many auto parts manufacturers like sanlihuizhong have actively resumed work and production. As of May 18, 193 industrial enterprises in Anting Town, known as the "Auto City", have resumed work and production, of which the production capacity of the auto industry has reached 56%.
There is also an emergency supply guarantee transfer station for important materials in the Yangtze River Delta. Ni Yanhong, the person in charge of the transfer station, introduced that the transfer station implements closed-loop management and "contactless" delivery throughout the whole process. Each station covers an area of about 5000 square meters, which can ensure the transfer demand of 30 vehicles of more than 20 tons per day and ensure the smooth transportation of important production materials, including auto parts.
Industry insiders pointed out that automobile is an industry with a very long and complex industrial chain. "The main engine factory can't start without one part". The resumption of work and production is not "going in unison as soon as you whistle", but the resumption of work of leading enterprises needs to drive the chain resumption of work of the whole industry.
At present, compared with the downstream vehicle manufacturers, although the smaller upstream parts manufacturers have actively resumed work, the capacity recovery still needs to be improved, which makes it difficult for the vehicle manufacturers to operate at full capacity in a short time. In addition, although the poor situation of inter provincial logistics has improved, there are still problems such as high cost and "more delay" in logistics, which brings many challenges to enterprises in whether they can maintain stable production.
Cui Dongshu, Secretary General of the passenger car market information joint committee, believes that in the face of the impact of the epidemic, automobile enterprises should gradually change from "fire-fighting" emergency response to normalized high toughness supply chain management, establish effective risk monitoring ability in the existing supply chain system, and improve the strategic planning, management and implementation ability of the supply chain.
