Lenovo has refreshed some models of its ultra-thin series (known as yoga slim in some markets), one of the interesting models is slim 7I carbon, which Lenovo called "mobile art" in its press release**
It looks similar to the ideapad slim 7 carbon with AMD technology (Yoga slim 7 carbon outside North America), which announced last year as the lightest 14 inch Laptop with OLED screen, weighing 2.37 pounds. The panel not only has a refresh rate of 90hz, but also can reach a brightness of 600 nits, which is very bright for consumer laptops.
Slim 7I carbon is equipped with Intel processor, but the 600 nit OLED screen has disappeared. It adopts the 2560x1600 IPS panel, which is still very good but not very unique. According to Lenovo, the brightness can reach 400 nits. The focus of this device is its portability. Slim 7 carbon has a 14 inch screen and weighs 2.37 pounds; The 7I is a 13.3-inch device that weighs only 2.13 pounds. That means it's probably one of the lightest laptops you can buy this season.
Slim 7I carbon is made of aviation grade magnesium alloy and multi-layer carbon fiber reinforcement. It is available in three colors, including "moon white", "cloud grey" and "storm grey". Internally, the device adopts Intel's 12th generation core processor, including core i5-1240p and core i7-1260p. The memory can be configured to 32GB and the storage space is 1TB.
Slim 7I carbon will be available in June, starting at $1299.
