Lenovo is reshaping its slim notebook lineup and phasing out the Yoga brand (at least in the US market). The new slim series two in one will be launched in June 2022, providing users with options of carbon fiber, glass and other materials.
At present, the four new models announced by Lenovo include Lenovo slim 9i, slim 7I pro, slim 7 Pro X and slim 7I carbon, with starting prices of $1799, $1699, $1499 and $1299 respectively.
Moreover, each model provides rich customization options. In terms of CPU, you can choose the latest generation processor of AMD or Intel, and in terms of GPU, you can choose to integrate Intel iris Xe graphics card and independent NVIDIA graphics card.
Among the four slim series models announced this time, the most expensive model is the 14 inch 9i. Users can choose up to 32GB ddr5 memory (with a clock frequency of 5600mhz), Intel Core i7-1280p processor, the fourth generation m.2 SSD of up to 1TB, and the OLED panel of up to 4K. In addition to OLED, 9i's outstanding feature is its unique glass shell.
Next comes 7I Pro x, which is equipped with Intel Core i7-12700h and RTX 3050. The 3050 is not the most powerful GPU on the market, but it definitely has more advantages than the integrated alternative. This makes Pro x a viable option for less dense games, and its 120Hz panel should be able to display these games well. The maximum size of the display is 3072x1920, a little larger than 9i's 14.5 inches, but it lacks OLED lighting.
The 14.5-inch 7I Pro x supports the same storage options as 9i, but the memory becomes a little faster, up to 32GB of 6000mhz memory. It shares the same storage and GPU options as other pro x models, but allows users to purchase AMD ryzen 9 6900hs and 32GB of slightly slower memory at 5400mhz.
The cheapest "slim" model is 7I carbon. The CPU option is up to Intel's i7-1260p (up to 32GB), and the memory speed is the slowest, 4800mhz. Unlike Pro x devices, 7I carbon uses iris Xe graphics or NVIDIA's low-end 2050. It is reported that the 14 or 16 inch Laptop computer chassis is reinforced with lightweight carbon fiber and has a magnesium carbon design.
