**EBay announced on Tuesday that its verification service has expanded to support card transactions worth more than $2000 through cooperation with PSA, a professional third-party transaction card certification and classification service provider** Previously, this well-known C2C trading platform has provided authenticity transactions for products such as sneakers of more than $100, watches of more than $2000 and handbags of more than $500.
EBay authentication service will eventually cover cards worth more than $250 (from: official website)
In January, eBay announced that it could provide verification for more than $750 of Unrated card transactions on the platform. But now, the service has covered a wider trading range.
Customers in need can send the transaction cards that need to be graded to the third-party evaluator. Compared with Unrated cards, the value of cards certified by the standardized system will be further highlighted.
As an official partner of eBay, PSA, a third-party certification company, will be responsible for verifying whether the cards (and their plastic packaging brackets and labels) traded on the platform are consistent with the product description, so as to avoid consumers being harmed by tampered or forged cards.
Although the size of the collection trading market such as star cards is relatively small, there are still many fakes. A sad case is that Logan Paul spent $3.5 million and bought a fake "fairy treasure dream" card.

Finally, the third-party verification institutions represented by PSA are often overstocked by the influx of cards, and the identification report is delayed for several months.
The good news is that eBay's designated team is separated from those who deal with the backlog. Referring to a podcast on April 28, the number of backlog cards has been "less than 4 million".
