Among them, 5g new communication products are based on the world's largest 5g shared commercial network jointly built by China Unicom and China Telecom, which officially launched 5g vonr (ultra high definition audio and video call) service in 125 cities across the country, and launched the first eight applications of 5g new communication that are more HD, more reassuring, more intelligent and more cool
It is understood that the full name of vonr is voice over new radio, which can be simply understood as high-definition call under 5g, which is similar to volte.
Specifically, 5g vonr refers to the end-to-end voice services carried by 5g NR, 5g core and IMS. Compared with volte, it has the following advantages: significantly lower delay; Improve call quality; Faster call connections.
In terms of voice call sound quality, 5g vonr supports new EVs encoding and decoding, which is more advanced than 4G volte. The call sound quality is clearer, and there will be no noise or lack of clear listening.
At the same time, it also supports 720p resolution HD video calls, which is one level higher than volte's 480p resolution.
