Designers from BMW and Jixing discussed the future automotive interior design in the live broadcast activity held by "car design news". The host asked such a question: now the large screen is equal to the high-end atmosphere and grade, will it still be the same in the future? Or what is the limit of screen size? Matthias junghanns, the designer in charge of BMW I series pure electric models, obviously has an opinion on this: "the big screen is so important? I personally believe that these dark glass panels will be abandoned sooner or later for the interior of the car."

"The future vehicle information flow is at the fingertips of the driver, and the interface will only appear when you need it."

Connie blomm é, interior designer of Jixing, has a similar idea: "it is a natural law that prosperity and decline, and the large screen should be no exception. When driving, you focus on the scenery outside the car rather than the large screen inside the car."

The large screen may be useful for bored passengers and co pilot. For the driver, the function of the large screen is to display the vehicle condition when the vehicle is ignited.

The actual strength and vehicle grade of the boarding factory are determined by HUD. High end HUD can not only replace the on-screen display of vehicle information (including sword villains) and road condition information (including speed limit signs), but also show the navigation instructions in the most intuitive form in front of the driver.

More importantly, the driver does not need to deviate his line of sight when using the HUD. Once the car factory allows HUD to project third-party navigation, the use of large screen may only be games and TV dramas.

Nowadays, the proliferation of large screens is actually to reduce costs. A touch screen can replace a lot of buttons and switches, which not only reduces the burden of procurement and supply chain, but also steals a lot of laziness in the design stage, such as component layout and interference inspection. That's why so many car manufacturers know that they are anti-human, but insist on throwing the functions of air conditioning and seat adjustment to the screen menu.

Today, even the BMW M-series is not immune. The new M2 released this year will use the iDrive 8-car machine system, which is matched with the 12.3 + 14.9-inch curved screen - pay attention to the m-gear handle and four outlet exhaust:

IDrive 8 + combined screen + S58 six cylinder engine + rear drive + manual transformer (optional at). Is this the strongest and last generation of M2 tanker?

The M3 travel version, which can be announced as soon as next month, will also use this car machine system. BMW may be the last manufacturer to popularize the large screen. Maybe the large screen has been reduced to the psychological price? It can not only enjoy the benefits of unified style and unified procurement, but also cater to the psychology of consumers. Why not.
