Autoflight, a Shanghai based evtol company, has been conducting flight tests recently and is continuing to develop its performance I evtol air taxi Now autoflight has released an essentially unedited 8-minute video that shows the entire test flight process with sound
In February this year, autoflight showed its transition test video. Now, the new video will not hear any music or sound except the sound of the aircraft itself. The official said that the video shows the whole test flight - including takeoff, hovering, transition to forward flight, flying wing cruise without vertical lift propeller rotation, some plane tilt, ground speed exceeding 180km/h, and gradual transition to vertical lift propeller and landing.
It is worth noting that the concept of prosperity demonstrates a direct vertical ascent rather than any forward speed obtained during ascent. In addition, the transition back to the vertical lift mode looks a bit bumpy, and when switching flight mode, it will look quite clear from the passenger seat.
The sound quality from the vertical lift system is very interesting, because these things are designed to adapt to the sound scene of the city. Its frequency is lower than you think, and it almost sounds like a snore.
It is reported that this is the second proof of concept aircraft of autoflight. The company said that it is now testing "upgraded lift and cruise configuration, optimized lift propeller and enhanced hover and cruise efficiency". Autoflight said that the full-size UAV took about three months to build and has completed 30 such successful flight tests in recent weeks.
After completion, prosperity air taxi promised to take four passengers to a place 250 kilometers away at a cruising speed of 200km/h. Autoflight is expected to put it into use before 2026. Its goal is to obtain certification from the local government in China and the European Security Agency in Europe.
