Audi announced today that Apple music will be used directly in the infotainment system of a large number of its vehicles through a software update. Apple music integration will enable Audi owners to access their personal Apple music library directly on the vehicle's multimedia interface (MMI) screen, or directly access the online music library by using the in car data connection without Bluetooth, wired connection or apple Carplay.
To activate Apple Music, users must open the apple music application on the Audi infotainment system, follow the instructions on the screen, log in with their Apple ID and enter the verification code sent to their mobile phone.
Christiane Zorn, head of product marketing at Audi, said:
Integrating Apple Music into the audio infotainment system marks Audi and Apple The cooperation between the two countries has taken the next step. For our customers, this means that we provide them with a personalized auditory experience with direct access to themselves. This is our understanding of high-quality digital car experience. At Audi, we are systematically promoting the digitization of vehicles. We believe that the interior of the vehicle is increasingly developing into a third living space.
In Europe, North America and Japan, Apple Music integration will be extended to "almost all" existing 2022 Audi cars through automatic update in the air, and will appear on many new Audi cars as standard configuration. In Europe, mobile data flow fees are settled through data packets provided by cubic Telekom, and the first three GB are free.
Audi is not the first car manufacturer to integrate Apple music directly into its infotainment system. Porsche first announced this function in 2019 and then extended it to other services such as apple podcasts. Similarly, Mercedes Benz launched Apple Music integration last summer.
