This is probably the most sudden, mysterious and tossing card in AMD's history. At the beginning of this month, it was revealed that AMD was going to release an Rx 6700 with a specification between RX 6700 XT and Rx 6650 XT, especially the special 160 bit 10GB video memory. Soon, sapphire exposed and launched this graphics card in a low-key way, but it was simply called 6700. For the first time, there was no prefix of "RX". Moreover, from the design specification, it was transformed from the previous mining card. It is suspected that this is just a coquettish operation of sapphire, and there will not even be a public version.
The result was finally reversed again: today, amd officially released "RX 6700"**
The specifications and exposure are the same: navi 22 GPU core, 36 computing units, 2304 stream processors, 80mb infinite cache, core frequency base 1941mhz, game 2174mhz, acceleration 2450MHz
The video memory is equipped with 160 bit 10Gb gddr6, the equivalent frequency is 16ghz, the bandwidth is 320gb/s, and the superimposed infinite cache is 1065gb/s in total
The power consumption of the whole card is strange. The nominal power consumption is only 175W, which is much lower than the 220W announced by Sapphire before, and even 5W lower than the public RX 6650 XT, and 55W lower than the RX 6700 XT
Although the sapphire is an overclocking version, the game and acceleration frequencies are only increased to 2230mhz and 2495mhz respectively. Theoretically, the power consumption should not be the same.
Amd has not released the public model, but it should be consistent with the RX 6700 XT in all aspects, except that two 8-pin power supplies are no longer required, and one is enough.
Finally, miraculously, sapphire quietly modified the product description on the website, and the product name became "AMD radeon RX 6700"**
