It is reported that Amazon announced last month that it no longer supports the Kindle app in app purchase function of Android system, and recently began to send notifications to users via email If you use Amazon Kindle app on Android system, you should have noticed that this software does not provide purchase and lease services, nor can you subscribe to the company's Kindle unlimited service.

In fact, Amazon did so in order to comply with a policy implemented by Google on June 1. Starting today, the company will require all developers to process all payments related to "digital goods and services" through the play store payment system.

Before that, Amazon was one of the few Android developers who could use third-party channels to process in app payments. However, after the implementation of the new regulations, Amazon decided to completely remove the purchase function on the Kindle in order not to pay a commission to Google. The company has also taken the same steps in its music applications.

At the same time, users can still buy point cards in the audible application, but they can no longer use credit cards and debit cards to directly purchase audio books. In the United States, Amazon does not provide the Kindle app purchase function in IOS system.

It is worth noting that Amazon is not the only company that turns off the purchase function on Android. For example, Barnes &noble removed the direct purchase function from its Android nook app in April. Some enterprises also challenge Google on this issue through legal means. For example, tinder's parent company match group filed a lawsuit against the search giant in May.

Amazon's Android Kindle, audible and music apps may resume direct purchase in the future. In March this year, Google cooperated with spotify to test the third-party payment system. However, it is not clear how long it will take for this pilot project to be extended to other enterprises.
