Mercedes Benz is making some major updates to its 2023 GLC SUV, its compact luxury SUV. The new model brings a more powerful hybrid engine, internal and external adjustments, and enhanced off-road performance. The combination of the 2.0L in-line four cylinder turbocharged engine and the electric 48 volt mild hybrid system enables the vehicle to provide 258 HP at 5800-6100 rpm and 295 LB ft of torque at 1800-4000 rpm. 2023 GLC SUV: Technology for off-road driving

Although many SUVs in this category rarely roam off asphalt roads, Mercedes Benz is keen to emphasize the off-road capability of the new GLC and promises to make the car better able to deal with bad weather conditions and unpaved roads by adopting new technologies. Dynamic body control works with the new four link front suspension and multi link independent rear suspension, and can also adapt to the current situation, speed and road conditions.
Mercedes also makes the off-road experience of the model easier. The driver can manage these functions through the new off-road screen of the mbux infotainment system. When users activate "off-road mode", they can access a new feature called "transparent hood". This technology uses a 360 degree camera to display a virtual scene under the front of the vehicle - including the front wheels and steering positions, just as the driver can directly see the front of the SUV.

This can help improve their understanding of current traction, driving and steering conditions, not to mention avoiding hidden obstacles such as boulders or pits. In addition, the model also has virtual instruments of inclination, slope, terrain height, geographical coordinates and compass, which can be accessed through the standard 11.9-inch central control touch screen, and also supports wireless Apple Carplay, Android auto, and "Hey Mercedes" hands-free voice control system. Wireless phone charging, blind spot assistance, 18 inch wheel hub and electric liftgate are also standard, while Burmester 3D surround sound system, head up display, front seat ventilation and driver assistance package are optional.
