APACER launched the first consumer grade PCIe Gen 5 nvme SSD, with an ultimate transmission speed of 13000 MB / s. There are two models of PCIe Gen 5 nvme SSD displayed this time, one is standard APACER design, the other is Zadak design.
APACER as2280f5 is a PCIe Gen m.2 nvme SSD conforming to nvme 2.0 standard, with read and write speeds of 13000 MB / s and 12000 MB / s. SSD is backward compatible with PCIe Gen 4, but with Gen 5, you can get double the performance. APACER drives are equipped with aluminum radiators and have a variety of undisclosed built-in protection technologies.
[AS2280F5 M.2 PCIe Gen5 x4 SSD]
● equipped with the latest PCIe gen5 X4 high-speed interface and supporting the latest nvme 2.0 standard
● read and write performance up to 13000 / 12000 MB / S
● backward compatible with PCIe gen4, but with doubled performance
● exclusive high-quality metal cooling fin design
● built in multiple protection technology to ensure the correctness and stability of data reading and writing
● provide 5-year global warranty
[ZADAK TWSG5 Gen5 x4 SSD]
● adopt the latest high-speed interface of PCIe gen5 and support the latest nvme 2.0 standard
● read and write performance up to 13000 / 12000 MB / S
● ultra thin graphene and aluminum heat sink are attached
● provide 5-year global warranty
The Zadak twsg5 gen5 X4 SSD is a design of similar specifications, but with graphene cooling pads or aluminum fins. Both PCIe Gen 5 nvme SSDs offer a 5-year warranty and are priced higher than existing Gen 4 SSDs.
At present, 30% of the heat is dissipated through the m.2 connector and 70% through the m.2 screw. This is where new interfaces and interface slots will play a huge role. Qunlian is currently investing in a new connector, which may allow full use of fans, but for users eager for higher speed, AIC and nvme SSD will still support better cooling design.
