Some retail employees have expressed their dissatisfaction with working hours to managers and labor organizations. Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's Retail Director, recently hinted that the adjustment might come soon.
Apple will make the following adjustments to the working hours of retail store employees:
·The minimum interval between two shifts is 12 hours, which is higher than the current minimum of 10 hours.
·If the working hours exceed 8 p.m., the maximum working time is three days per week, unless the employee chooses to work at night.
·Employees will not be assigned to work more than five consecutive days, up from six consecutive days previously. New product launches and holidays may be excluded.
·Full time employees can enjoy a special weekend rest day every six months.
Apple employees said that some of the above adjustments will take effect in the next few weeks, and others may need to wait until later this year.
