At the conference, Tongxin software announced that it would build a desktop operating system root community based on China and facing the world based on the deep community to build the root system of Chinese desktop operating system**
Launched in 2008 by Wuhan shenzhidu technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tongxin software, deep community has been in operation for 15 years. It is an open source community dominated by desktop operating system. It is also one of the largest, oldest and most active open source operating system communities in China.
Tongxin soft said that after the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Ubuntu developer canonical announced that it would stop supporting and providing professional services to Russian enterprises* The Ubuntu service suspension event once again proves that China's operating system can not rely on the distribution version controlled by commercial manufacturers such as Ubuntu *, but should start from the Linux kernel, other open source projects and self-developed project components, and build a new operating system architecture and open source community for desktop application scenarios.
Since 2015, deep operating system (deepin) has abandoned Ubuntu as the upstream, and chose Debian, a non-commercial upstream community of Ubuntu, as the basis for research and development. It has made proactive consideration and preparation in advance.
In 2021, the shipment of Linux desktop operating system in China exceeded 5% for the first time, it is expected that by 2025, the shipment of Linux operating system in China will exceed 20% and the overall market share in China will exceed 10%. China will also become the largest Linux Desktop Market , which has the foundation of developing independent ecology and the ability to lead the development of Linux desktop system.
In addition, in terms of technical capability and scale, the R & D personnel of China's major Linux operating system companies have surpassed Ubuntu and SUSE, ranking among the top three in the world. Therefore, the Chinese people, land and time have the root of the desktop operating system.
