Recently, Logitech has launched two MX mechanical and MX mechanical Mini keyboards and MX master 3S mouse, priced at $169.99, $149.99 and $99 respectively, which will be shipped this month
● MX Master 3S
In the minds of many users, Logitech's MX master is an office artifact, which provides rich user-defined buttons and wheel operations. The MX master 3S is very similar to the master 3 in appearance. It is mainly for right-hand operation. It is equipped with two scrolling (one for left and right, one for up and down) and three thumb buttons.
The biggest highlight of the master 3S is the 8000 DPI sensor, which is higher than the 4000 DPI of the master 3, and the left and right mouse buttons are now significantly quieter - 90% lower, according to Logitech. There is still tactile collision when clicking the mouse, but it is quieter, almost like pressing cherry MX Brown instead of MX blue switch.
Despite the higher resolution sensor, due to its relatively low polling rate of 125Hz, the goal of this mouse is office and productivity work, not games. In contrast, the game mouse usually polls at a frequency of 1000Hz or even 8000Hz in some cases.
Logitech said that the higher DPI sensor of MX master 3S should help people use higher and higher resolution displays on computers, such as 4K or even 8K, and quieter clicks should benefit anyone using a mouse in a shared office environment.
However, the MX master 3S will replace the MX Master 3 in the Logitech mouse series, so fans who like to click the mouse loudly may have to act quickly and buy before one of the old models disappears.
● MX Mechanical
Previously, Logitech's productivity focused MX series of keyboards (MX keys and MX keys mini) had quiet, soft laptop keys. However, as MX mechanical will be sold together with MX keys, Logitech is using more mechanical switches.
These two keyboards use kailh's Choc V2 switch. Available styles include tactile quiet Brown axis switch, click blue axis and linear red axis. These switches are low-key, so they don't have the long bond path of full height cherry MX switches.
Both keyboards are wireless, and Logitech's iconic long battery life has played a full role here. When the keyboard backlight is on, the battery life is 15 days, and when it is off, the battery life is up to 10 months. The keyboard is equipped with sensors, so its backlight can be turned on when your hand is nearby, and the usb-c port can handle charging when the power is low. Both the keyboard and mouse can remember the three devices they are paired with (they can be connected via Bluetooth or the included USB wireless adapter) and switch between them by pressing a button.
