Today's mobile SOC mobile platform has turned to 5g, but the market still has a lot of demand for 4G. Today, MediaTek has brought a new u-helio G99 to the 4G market From this number, it seems to be the masterpiece of MediaTek 4G SOC. Helio G99 is actually an upgraded version of the previous G96 and g95. The specification change is very small, at least for now, the maximum frequency is increased from 2.05ghz to 2.2GHz, which is accelerated by 150MHz, and nothing else has changed
In terms of network, integrates 4G global baseband and supports the highest LTE cat 13. 4G carrier aggregation, 4G dual card dual standby , 4x4 MIMO, 256-qam, dual band Beidou, Wi Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2 are also supported.
The manufacturing process should still be 12NM, integrating two A76 and six A55 CPU cores, with the highest frequencies of 2.2GHz and 2.0GHz respectively. At the same time, integrating mali-g57 MC2 GPU , supporting H.264, h.265 (hevc) codec and vp-9 decoding, and hyperengine 2.0 Lite game engine.
The image supports a single 108 million pixel camera or two 16 million pixel cameras, with three built-in ISPs. It supports face detection, hardware depth of field engine, single / dual camera background virtualization, ainr intelligent noise reduction, 3dnr noise reduction, multi frame noise reduction, rolling shutter compensation, electronic anti shake, etc.
The memory supports lpddr4x-2133, and the storage support only lists UFS 2.2 , without EMMC 5.1. I don't know if it is no longer supported.
Terminals using Helio G99 4G platform are expected to be available in the third quarter.
