According to internal documents and people familiar with the company's product plan, SONOS's upcoming economical sound bar product will be called SONOS ray The price is expected to be around $249 and will be available in a few weeks. Ray will be the cheapest sound bar of SONOS as an entry-level choice under the higher priced beam and flagship product arc.
The model of SONOS ray is S36 and the internal code is fury. In order to sell at a lower price, SONOS omits functions such as built-in microphone, Dolby atmos and HDMI connection; Ray also has fewer speakers than the company's existing products.
