Three years ago, Milan prosecutors launched an investigation into Netflix's potential tax evasion. Milan prosecutors said that although Netflix has no local entity, Netflix should pay taxes in Italy because it uses digital infrastructure to provide streaming media content to 2 million users in the country. Netflix uses cables and computer servers that are equivalent to physical presence in Italy.
