In order to create some topics for the recent world bee day on May 20, Rocco filomeno, an Italian beekeeper, built a wonderful and whimsical "air bee and bee" small house style house. This simple but novel residence is installed in an olive garden in rural Italy. Thanks to a beehive integrated on the ceiling, visitors can sleep in the hum of millions of bees.
Wonder Bee & Bee is located near the village of grottole in southern Italy. Its construction cost was equivalent to $17000, which was raised through crowdfunding and built with the help of 17 volunteers.
Its interior is very simple. Structurally, it is composed of fir, birch and glass. A total of 9 beehives are integrated into its exterior. We don't know its specific size, but it has only one room, two single beds and some storage space, plus a sink and a pot of water - that's all. Although it lacks many family comforts, its specially built beehive on the ceiling is an absolute advantage to attract adventure tourists. Thousands of bees eat and live with you, which is definitely a new experience.
Wonder Bee & Bee said that at most, it is estimated that a total of one million bees live at home, and the movement will certainly not be small. Although we don't know whether guests need to bring earplugs to close their eyes, for some people, it is likely to be a very nerve soothing sound.
Because there is no kitchen or even bathroom, tourists need to use the bathroom of the nearby cabin when necessary, while the camping shower is hung on the olive tree outside. There is no refrigerator here, but an ice bag with ice cubes instead.
If you want to spend the night there yourself, wonder Bee & amp; Bee is now open on airbnb. Part of the package includes strawberries, homemade biscuits and other foods, as well as local honey and information lectures on bees. All rental income will be donated to the bee protection work of local non-governmental organizations.
