June 5 is the world environment day and the fifth anniversary of the launch of "Qingliu plan" of JD logistics. After putting forward and promoting the concept of original packaging for the first time in the industry in 2017, on the same day, JD logistics released the first certification standard for original direct packaging (hereinafter referred to as "original packaging") in the industry, and joined hands with multiple partners to launch a new goal of green packaging: by 2030, more than 80% of the products sold through e-commerce channels will support original direct packaging.
Delivered with original package (dwop) refers to the integrated structure of e-commerce commodity packaging and express packaging, which reduces the secondary packaging of e-commerce commodities in the delivery link. In order to promote the transformation of green packaging, as early as 2017, JD first put forward the concept of original packaging in the industry and encouraged brand enterprises to widely implement it through preferential policies. At present, tens of thousands of SKUs of many brands, including P & G, Unilever, Yunnan Baiyao, bilander, etc., have realized the straight delivery of the original packaging, which can reduce the use of more than 2billion SKUs in the industry every year.
On the fifth anniversary of the "Qingliu plan", JD logistics officially released the original packaging standards and certification process. In terms of packaging standards, the original packaging shall meet the requirements of safety, porosity and environmental protection at the same time: first, the original packaging shall pass the test requirements of JD logistics transportation standards to ensure that the order can be delivered safely; Secondly, the packaging porosity shall not exceed 20%, so as to reduce material waste and avoid excessive packaging; Finally, environmental friendly and recyclable packaging materials shall be selected for packaging, and polystyrene EPS and packaging materials with excessive heavy metal and harmful substance residues shall not be used. In addition, it is suggested that the primary color cartons should be preferred to reduce the use of printing ink. In the certification process, the brand merchants need to send the package samples to a fully qualified third-party packaging testing agency, which will conduct testing according to the original packaging certification standards issued by JD logistics, and issue a qualified test and certification report. At present, JD logistics has joined hands with industry carbon consulting experts to start the standard formulation of the original factory's direct packaging carbon reduction group.
Meanwhile, JD logistics also released the original packaging logo. The logo takes green and recycling as the design concept. The three green cycle marks in the outer circle represent consumers, brands and jd.com respectively. They are connected end to end, implying an end-to-end green supply chain; In the middle of the sign is a green carton, with a leaf shape on the left side, implying the green packaging method of the original packaging.
In addition, JD logistics has joined hands with a number of industry partners to release the development goal of original packaging: by 2030, more than 80% of the products sold through e-commerce channels will support original direct packaging. At the same time, JD logistics and its partners jointly issued dwop environmental protection declaration: promote circular packaging and reduce packaging waste; Use primary color cartons to reduce the use of ink; Reduce the number of packaging layers and avoid excessive packaging; Simple and compact design, reducing the use of materials; The use of environmentally friendly materials, plastic reduction, recycling and regeneration will further promote green carbon reduction in the packaging sector.
