On May 6, Godson Zhongke announced that by the end of April 2022, Godson 2k1000 processor had completed the function and performance test of the revised chip (code named Godson 2k1000la) and was undergoing user trial. On the basis of realizing compatibility with the pins and interfaces of the original version 2k1000, the processor core of Godson 2k1000la is updated to la264 processor core based on loongarch (Dragon architecture for short).
Godson 2k1000la also optimizes some peripheral interfaces of the original Godson 2k1000, comprehensively improves the reliability, and can be replaced and upgraded directly on the original motherboard.
Godson 2k1000 series is a low-power general-purpose processor for industrial control and terminal fields. The chip peripheral interface includes two pcie2 0. One way SATA2 0, 4-way USB2 0. Two way Dvo, 64 bit DDR2 / 3 and other interfaces. On the basis that the hardware interface of Godson 2k1000la is fully compatible with 2k1000, it replaces the processor core and optimizes the performance and power consumption by adjusting the design. It can be widely used in industries and fields such as electric power, rail transit, petroleum and petrochemical, new energy, intelligent manufacturing, industrial Internet, industrial network security and so on.
The launch of Godson 2k1000la processor marks that Godson's industrial control business has also fully turned to longarch after Godson's information business has turned to longarch in the second half of 2021. Godson 2k1000la with loongarch architecture, Godson 2k0500 successfully developed in 2021 and Godson 3a5000 successfully developed in 2020 will form a medium, low and high-grade combination in the field of industrial control applications.
It is reported that loongarch architecture is an independent instruction system launched by Godson Zhongke in 2020 based on 20 years of CPU development and ecological construction. The ecological construction of loongarch architecture has achieved preliminary results. It can natively support all mainstream basic software and application development environments of Linux platform. It has been accepted by many top open source communities and domestic application software enterprises. It has begun to become one of the system architectures side by side with X86 and arm architectures.
