According to foreign media Kotaku, at the EA company meeting on May 24, several employees asked executives whether they would issue a statement on abortion and transgender rights. EA executives responded that the company would not announce its position because "EA is an inclusive company, which also means that all views should be inclusive."

Mala Singh, chief personnel officer of EA, told employees at the meeting: "these things are difficult and personal. We all have our own views, and sometimes we can't express our opinions, which is disturbing. I understand that we can only do this."

Although EA refused to make public statements on these issues, Lacey Haines, director of corporate communications at EA, told Kotaku that the company was focusing on "ensuring that employees can receive the health care benefits provided by the company."

Like EA, Sony also refused to make any public statement about the right to abortion. Jim Ryan, CEO of Playstation, told employees to "respect different opinions".
