A few years ago, Delta Airlines previewed a passenger information system. In this system, some passengers look at the same screen, and everyone will see different content. Now, this parallel reality technology will come to Detroit later this month. Parallel reality technology was originally announced at the 2020 International Consumer Electronics Show. It was originally expected to be launched later that year. Now it will be launched at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport from June 29.

In the application of Delta Airlines, these multi view pixels controlled by software can simultaneously provide customized information for each approaching customer - which means that one passenger will see personalized flight information, while another passenger will see different details for them. More importantly, given the global nature of travel today, each customized view can be provided in the native language of individual customers.
Up to 100 passengers can see the same display screen at the same time and get customized flight information, boarding time updates or useful tips on how to get to the places they need in the terminal.
The beta experience is being installed near Delta Airlines club in hall a of McNamara terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Delta customers can interact with the display screen by scanning their boarding passes. If they have signed the airline's digital ID card program, they can also activate facial recognition through the fly delta application to obtain more personalized information.
