The reporter learned from the Three Gorges group that at 22:00 on May 4, unit 5 of Zhejiang changlongshan pumped storage power station (hereinafter referred to as "changlongshan power station") of the Three Gorges Construction Engineering Group affiliated to the Three Gorges group successfully completed the 15 day assessment and trial operation and was officially put into operation for power generation. It marks the successful application of the world's first pumped storage unit with a rated speed of 600 rpm and a rated capacity of 350 MW.
Overview of upper and lower reservoirs of changlongshan Hydropower Station
Changlongshan hydropower station is located in Anji, Zhejiang Province, with a total installed capacity of 2.1 million KW. Six 350 MW pumped storage units are designed and installed. Among them, units 5 and 6 are supplied by Shanghai Voith Hydropower Equipment Co., Ltd. with a rated speed of 600 rpm. It is the world's highest rated speed unit under this capacity, and the comprehensive difficulty coefficient of unit design and development is the first in the world.
In order to ensure the long-term safe and reliable operation of unit 5, changlongshan company closely cooperates with the participating units and strictly controls all links of unit design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning in the whole process. On March 23, unit 5 entered the water commissioning stage, which lasted 28 days. More than 70 startup commissioning test items were completed on April 19, and entered the 15 day assessment and trial operation period.
During the trial operation, when unit 5 operates stably under power generation and pumping conditions, the vibration and swing data of upper guide, lower guide and water guide are less than 100 microns, which is better than the standard of technical code for installation of water turbine generator units and meets the requirements of high-quality units of Three Gorges group.
Unit 5 is generating electricity
Since June 2021, changlongshan power station has successively put five units into operation for power generation. The operating units of the power station actively participate in the tasks of peak shaving, valley filling, frequency modulation and regulation of East China power grid, with safe and stable operation. The cumulative output of power generation in time at the peak of power consumption of the power grid exceeds 1.3 billion kwh, and the power consumption of pumping valley filling at the low peak of power consumption is about 1.7 billion kwh. It is of great significance to further improve the regulation capacity of East China power grid, optimize the power supply structure in East China, promote the development of new energy and help build a new power system.
At present, the last unit of changlongshan power station is undergoing hydrostatic commissioning. It is planned to start trial operation on May 15 and is expected to be fully put into operation by the end of June this year.
