Mars" jointly produced by the National Space Administration and China Central Radio and television was officially broadcast on CCTV at 22:36 every night from May 18 to 22, 2022; From May 19 to 23, it will be broadcast repeatedly on CCTV science and education channel at 20:10 every night**
The documentary is divided into five episodes, each of which is 30 minutes. It will truly present the huge technical challenges faced by mankind in exploring Mars for the majority of the audience, panoramically review the whole process and major achievements of tianwen-1 mission, and perfectly show the spirit of Chinese aerospace workers climbing the peak and challenging themselves in the new era.
As a key project of China Central Radio and television this year, the large-scale scientific documentary "Hello! Mars" was personally produced by Zhang Kejian, director of the National Space Administration, and Shen Haixiong, director of China Central Radio and television. Zhang Rongqiao, chief designer of China's first Mars exploration mission, served as a scientific consultant. The documentary took three years to complete. Since May 2020, the joint production team has continuously tracked the key nodes of tianwen-1 mission, shot many wonderful moments and obtained a large number of first-hand precious materials. Many contents of the documentary are made public for the first time and released with authority. The documentary is divided into five episodes of "departure", "journey", "surrounding", "landing" and "inspection". It focuses on the important stage of tianwen-1 mission respectively. It tells a lot of subject knowledge such as astronomy, astrophysics, space application and aerospace engineering in a simple way, and deeply analyzes the Chinese wisdom and Chinese scheme in Mars exploration.
