Bombardier has unveiled its latest global 8000 business jet. The company claims that it is the fastest and farthest mass-produced business jet in the world, combining the luxury cabin with a top speed of 623 knots (716 mph, 1152 km / h) and a range of 8000 nautical miles (9200 miles, 14816 km).
The private jet industry is booming, with current sales 20% higher than pre pandemic levels and growing to an all-time high. Therefore, both customers and manufacturers have great motivation to make the new aircraft go ahead in terms of performance and facilities.
The global 8000 business jet is a good example. The design of this aircraft is based on Bombardier's global 7500 flight test aircraft. Its performance is commendable. When flying accompanied by NASA's f / A-18 pursuit aircraft, it even reached Mach 1.015 supersonic speed.
With a wingspan of 104 feet (31.7 meters), the global 8000 can operate on shorter runways, thanks in part to its smooth fl ĕ x) It can provide maximum control and stability over a wide speed range. Powered by a pair of Ge passport engines with a thrust of 18920 pounds, it not only has a speed close to supersonic speed, but also has a ceiling of 51000 feet (15600 meters).
The cockpit of global 8000 has a set of advanced avionics, including four large displays, flying line sidestick flight control, head up display (HUD), enhanced vision system (EVS), synthetic vision system (SVS), graphical flight plan, multi scan weather radar and performance-based navigation (PBN).
The internal cabin is divided into four full-size customized living areas. When the cabin flies at 41000 feet (12500 meters), the pressure is equivalent to 2900 feet (884 meters). In addition, the renewal time of the air is as short as every 90 seconds, and greater cleanliness is obtained through the HEPA filter.
At the same time, the dynamic daylight simulation lighting in the cabin uses red and blue LEDs to simulate or inhibit the production of melatonin in order to reduce the time difference effect. Available cabin facilities include a large kitchen, a full-size bed, a standing shower, l'Op é RA directional audio system and available 4K displays, "zero gravity" seats, Ka band internet compatibility, and a private crew cabin for long-range flights.
"Today, Bombardier has once again consolidated its position as a leader in business aviation through the latest member of the industry-leading global family. The global 8000 aircraft takes advantage of the outstanding characteristics of the global 7500 aircraft to provide our customers with the flagship aircraft of a new era," said É ric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier
Bombardier global 8000 aircraft will appear in the sky in 2025.
