Apple today released MacOS Monterey 12.4, the fourth major update to the MacOS Monterey operating system launched in October 2021 MacOS Monterey 12.4 was released more than two months after the release of MacOS Monterey 12.3. The last update added the general control function, and finally completed all the functions officially introduced when the large version was released.
The MacOS Monterey 12.4 update can be downloaded on all eligible Macs using the system preferences - software update page. Apple MacOS Big Sur 11.6.6 update and MacOS Catalina 2022-004 security update have also been released for users who are still running Big Sur.
On MacOS Monterey 12.4 and iPad After OS 15.5 update, the general control is no longer in the test stage. It is now an official feature that Apple believes has no problem, and the label of the beta version has been deleted. Universal control, launched in March, allows you to use a mouse / touchpad and keyboard on multiple Macs and iPads.
For studio display, MacOS Monterey 12.4 adds support for 15.5 firmware, which is designed to improve the quality of webcam.
The podcasts app has also been updated. Apple has added a setting to limit the number of episodes stored on the Mac and automatically delete old episodes.
