On the eve of WWDC 2022 conference, Apple officially announced the shortlist of design awards applications。 This annual design awards event is mainly to recognize "outstanding innovation, originality and technical achievements in application and game design". As an important part of WWDC, the award highlights some of the best applications that Apple considers in various subject areas.
Design Awards applications are divided into 6 categories, and there are 6 shortlisted applications under each category. The winner will receive Apple In kind awards issued by the company and their achievements are publicized in the app store. Winning the award also brings a reputation to developers, which can help them in the market.
These six categories include "delight and fun", "interaction", "social impact", "visuals and graphics", "innovation" and "inclusivity".
"Delight and fun" refers to the application that provides "unforgettable, attractive and satisfactory experience" through apple technology "Interaction" means "providing an intuitive interface and effortless control that is perfectly suited to their platform".
"Social impact" means "to improve life in a meaningful way, which can solve some key problems"; "Visuals and graphics" refers to "having amazing images, skillfully drawn interfaces and high-quality animation that help form a unique and cohesive theme".
"Innovation" refers to "providing the most advanced experience through the novel use of Apple technology to make it stand out among similar products", while "inclusivity" refers to "providing a good experience for all by supporting people from different backgrounds, abilities and languages".
