Apple's official description of OK computer is as follows
"OK computer" is undoubtedly one of the classics of Radiohead and the epitome of the band's early style. With their eclectic style, exquisite and full song structure, they redefined the band itself, coupled with Thom Yorke's charm in lyrics and singing, making the whole album both artistic and experimental.
Most of the songs of the album were recorded in the legendary remote villa St Catherine's court, and the Royal producer Nigel godrich first operated the whole album of the band. Godrich had been a long-term partner of Radiohead since 1994.
In terms of album style, the band will integrate the influence of many music artists into its creation: the avant-garde Jazz Album bitches brew by Miles Davis in the 1970s and the avant-garde color of rock band can are shown in it.
"Karma Police" opens with a mysterious piano accompaniment. The lyrics helplessly reveal the indifference of employment relationship. The mechanized and cold voice broadcasting in fitter happier leads people to think deeply about human life style in the computer age.
"No risks" continues Yorke's consistent self slander and negative emotions, and there is no lack of Radiohead's bold attempts at blues and noise rock in the album. This album has a long-term influence in the UK and around the world. They brought British rock into a more melancholy, alienated and isolated listening experience, which became the style direction of many independent bands in the following years.
