Apple today began issuing additional invitations to developers who applied to participate in the global developer conference at Apple headquarters to fill the number of invitees who had not responded or were unable to attend The observation event is scheduled to be held on Monday, June 6. Invited developers can participate in all day Apple Park Headquarters activities, including WWDC keynote speech and platform status discussion party.

Developers will also be able to explore Apple's new developer center in Apple Park, which will be a special experience because no one knows much about it at present.

Apple will accept the application before Wednesday, May 11, and inform developers of their progress on Thursday, May 12. Developers need to conduct RSVP before May 18. Obviously, some selected people cannot participate.

The event is limited to a few developers, and participants are selected through the lottery system. All members of the Apple Developer program and the Apple Developer Enterprise program were initially invited to apply. Although the activity is free, the selected people must go to Cupertino, California, and ensure that they arrange their own accommodation.

Some people are worried that Apple may cancel the observation meeting, because the increase of covid-19 cases makes it necessary for enterprise employees to postpone their full return to Apple Park, but apple is inviting more developers, which shows that canceling the observation meeting is not currently under consideration.

WWDC 2022 is still an online event, except for the small-scale observation meeting mentioned above. Apple's WWDC keynote speech this year is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Pacific time on Monday, June 6.
