However, the most curious thing is that the number of WGPs of the flagship amd Navi 31 MCM GPU has been cut from 60 to 48, and the number of computing units (Cu) has been reduced from 120 to 96.
In other words, this means that AMD has reduced the number of stream processors (SPS) of the radeon RX 7900 XT (temporary name) from 15360 to 12288. However, the most likely reason is the consideration of chip yield (reducing waste).
At the same time, the number of WGPs of the second flagship Navi 32 GPU has been reduced from 40 to 32, and the number of Cu has been reduced from 80 to 64 - which means that the legendary radeon RX 7700 XT will only have 8192 stream processors (instead of 10240).
